The Calvi Company once again at TUTTOFOOD presenting the extra virgin "Reuza".
TUTTOFOOD: one of the most important events in the food sector in Italy, which attracts professionals and enthusiasts from all over the world.
This year we presented the organic extra virgin “Reuza”, obtained from the combination of Biancolilla and Taggiasca olives.
The “Reuza” was greatly appreciated by our customers, thanks to its perfectly balanced, delicately aromatic and very persistent flavour.
In addition, the very elegant presentation of this product, wrapped in salmon-coloured aluminium foil, was also much appreciated.
The “Reuza” (meaning rose in the local dialect) extra virgin olive oil is obtained from a careful selection of olives: by putting all our many years of experience in the production of high-quality oils into it. The choice of combining Biancolilla and Taggiasca olives is not an obvious one and it allows to obtain a tasty oil with a strong aroma, even in the context of a very delicate oil.
We believe “Reuza” is particularly ideal for dressing fish, grilled vegetables and tomato salads.
During Tuttofood we also presented a new can with the look and design of a can used by Giuseppe Calvi in the 1920s: with this we wanted to recall the origins of the company which this year turns 102 and to respond to the requests of our customers, who require a practical but at the same time original packaging….
And finally, a new product in oil: Trombette courgettes in extra virgin olive oil! Don’t you know what Trombette are? Evidently, you’ve never been to Liguria and you have not had the fortune to try our courgettes: they are long, thin and a light, bright green with a typical arched shape which gives them their name…
