The Calvi Oils
The heart of our extra virgin olive oil range is made up of Taggiasca olive oils (the typical olive of the Western Ligurian Riviera), in particular the "Riviera Ligure D.O.P." and the "Mosto Oro". Alongside these, are oils obtained by combining the Taggiasca olive with other Italian olives: the "Reuza" (Biancolilla and Taggiasca) and the "Arzentu" (Peranzana and Taggiasca). The range is then completed by some top value selections: the "Mosto Classico", the "Pinzimolio", the "Frutto Verde" and the "Classico", all obtained exclusively from olives grown and pressed in Italy.

The Taggiasca olives
Round, with a color that changes from green to purplish-black depending on the degree of ripeness, with a delicious sweet taste and a slightly bitter aftertaste: at first glance, these would seem to be the characteristics of the Taggiasca olive, a typical product of western Liguria. However, few know the origins of Taggiasca olives, their history and the numerous properties of this small and delicious fruit from which many other Ligurian delicacies originate, such as Taggiasco oil, ideal for giving an extra boost to any dish.
